What sets SIFE apart from other campus activities?

While you are conducting your SIFE outreach projects, you're making a valuable contribution to your community. You and your team will take charge of important aspects of valuable group efforts. You'll learn to make executive decisions as you plan and implement outreach projects in a hands-on environment unique to the SIFE experience. You will have the chance to practice and improve your communication, creativity, team-building and leadership skills. As you work with the local business people who serve on your SIFE Team's advisory board, you will help to develop a bond between your school and its community. Most importantly, you'll be teaching and touching the lives of hundreds of people in your community. Bettering the lives of others while bettering yourself - truly making a difference.

But that's just the beginning. By now, you've probably already discovered that job networking is a key ingredient for success in the business world. During regional and international expositions, SIFE conducts career opportunity fairs that give students the opportunity to meet and interview with human resource executives from major corporations. You will also have the opportunity to interact with top-level business leaders and entrepreneurs. Not a bad way to jumpstart your career! An interesting thing happens when you work on your SIFE projects with your peers, faculty and community. You have fun and you make friends. In fact, being a part of SIFE will probably be your most memorable college experience. You will forge lifelong friendships that can span from around the country or around the world. And when you look back at the impact you had on the youth of America, or how you helped a small business owner expand their business, or how you used the tool and lessons you learned in college to make a difference, you will be filled with a sense of pride that can't be matched.
